20 Minute Yoga Workout For Weightloss

Hey guys! I am sure some of you are already into yoga, and maybe others of you think it’s a waste of time. I have a little secret, yoga is NOT a waste of time. Yoga has so many physical and psychological health benefits and if practiced on a regular basis you will notice these benefits in no time.

Here are some yoga benefits for the mind and body:

Mind:

1. Yoga helps relax the mind and to ease stress and tension, which helps to give you a more calm and positive outlook on life in general.

2. Yoga is known to make people more aware of their surroundings.

3. Yoga helps increase your energy levels in the mind and body, especially if done in the mornings.

Body:

1. Yoga helps to increase to body’s flexibility

2. Yoga breathing techniques have been known to improve the heart and lung functions, which overall helps improve circulation in the inner body.

3.  Yoga improves balance

4. Yoga improves your posture

5. Yoga helps with toning the body

6. Last but certainly not least, yoga also helps with weight loss, and that is why I have included this video! This is a video I do in the comfort of my own home. All you need is a yoga mat and your computer to set the video up and you are ready to go! I would recommend doing this video at least 3 days a week, but if you can do it 5 or even 7 this is ideal. You will start noticing a difference in your mind and body right away!

Good luck, and Namaste!

Meditation For The Mind

Meditation is known to help calm your busy mind and for a person to find inner peace from within. Everyone may meditate in different ways, some sitting on their knees, some sitting Indian style, some with hands relaxed on their knees, and some with palms up. Also, if you are religious you can also add a prayer while you are meditating.

Meditating is something new for me, so to be honest I am learning right along with you. Some advice I have been giving and have also learned from trying on my own are as followed:

1. Try to sit up right and have good posture

2. Relax, but not to the point where you are falling asleep

3. Meditate in a comfortable place in your house or apartment where you feel happy and safe, or if you can go outside to a beach or forest, somewhere that makes you happy.

4. Count your breathes, and count 1 while you inhale, and 2 while you exhale all the way to 4 and then back to 1, repeat.

5. When you have trouble with many thoughts racing through your brain go back to counting your breathes, make this your main focus.

6. If you aren’t use to meditating try it for 5-10 minutes a day, until you are comfortable to do it longer and then you can meditate anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour or more, it’s all up to you. : )

Hopefully my advice can help you find your perfect way of meditation.

Peace and Love,
